Rollin' on the river

Downtown Milton Riverwalk; gorgeous day, although I would have liked a few clouds for some sky texture. What a fun time with the Andrews family! These kids were so full of energy, but I loved it; kept me on my toes with overwhelming photo ops. I love going through pictures at the end of a session and having to move pictures out of the edit folder because there's just so many good ones.

Big Lagoon

I had the opportunity to hang out with my good friends that live right down the road from us. Although we don't get to see each other too often, we all just pick right back up wherever we left off. So, we made our way to Big Lagoon State Park, where we had the awesome natural backdrops of both forest and water. The sun was high overhead, so I experimented with some off camera lighting, which I think turned out rather well!

Steven and Kimbie

I've known the big goofball known as Steven for a few years. The first time I met Kimbie was at a Sublime tribute band show...she has such an kind presence about her; the kind that makes people feel like they've known her for years. The two of them together make a....I'll just say it...fairly loud and obnoxious couple; but it's an obnoxiousness that isn't really minded by those around though. I digress, they had a classic evening wedding set in a picturesque catholic sanctuary. The reception was laid out with tables labeled with places and events they had travelled to together. Although I was on my feet just about the entire time, I had a blast taking pictures, dancing, eating, and just hanging out with all of their closest friends.

A simple hallway

The awesome thing about photography is that you only see what I want you to see; even if that involves shooting in a narrow hallway with a wide angle lens, just to get that nice brick background and nothing else. Soon to be married Lauren looked absolutely gorgeous in this vintage dress for her bridal shoot complete with a brooch that has been in her family for generations. We spent several hours and made ourselves at home with a modest light setup trying to shun the cliche' shots. We also opted for the nice air conditioning instead of scorching outdoor heat. Special thanks to my awesome assistant, Sapphira!

Happy 4th!!

Got to do a quick family session before the Fourth of July festivities. The overcast sky threatened to send torrential rain, but did provide some awesome soft lighting, so no off camera flash was needed. Little Annabelle was such a trooper as we shot inside and out. Best of luck to such a great looking family!!

Daddy Time!

We got out of Mommy's hair, and the two of us got to spend some time together...everyone wins! He had such a blast at the Naval Aviation Museum; even though there were hundreds of people around, I could still hear his ecstatic cries of "wowww!" and "Look daddy, look at that plane!"

5 months old!

We must be doing something right; two healthy kids and still a small amount of sanity left! This was just a quick session with some lovely natural lighting from the french doors. He's starting to get his own little personality. He laughs, kicks his feet constantly, and loves playing with big brother. Enjoy these lunch break edits...
